ZoLi Travels | Oh the things you find ...
There is something new and sometimes amazing around each corner. What a treat to discover a community vegetable garden overlooking the city of Taipei. This garden was on a plot of land which many would have either built a Mcmansion or sold to a developer. Instead, this couple converted the land into an organic garden and shares their bounty with family and friends. On this weekend, Z and L got to harvest Chinese melons (bottle gourd??), bitter melon, and even got to taste local goat milk ice cream for the first time (both gave it two thumbs up). They wouldn't let us leave empty handed so we left with our loot of seasonal greens and melons. Sustainable gardening at its best!!
